Place/Time:

This VSS is applicable to all sanctioned Requiem games, either ST-moderated or in soft role-play during SERE 2007 held in Atlanta, GA from May 10-13, 2007.

Note, the Universal VSS is considered always in effect for all sanctioned events at SERE 2007 and should be reviewed in addition to this Style Sheet before participating in any events.

Theme/Mood:

The mood of SERE 2007 Requiem is of descent and the will to power. The Kindred may struggle against the Beast and in so doing stave off their fall for a time, or they may succumb driven by fear, or anger, or the desire for control. In many instances the vampire will be given the choice. These choices shall guide the Kindred through further steps in the Danse Macabre or bring them to destruction.

SERE 2007 Requiem will use the mood of the Depression Era South to highlight the pervasive and insidious nature of the World of Darkness.

Venue Rules:

SERE 2007 uses the Camarilla rules addendum and all appropriately sanctioned materials mentioned therein. Any items not covered in these sources is considered to be an approval item requiring Top approval and requires pre-notification of the Lead On-Site Requiem ST.

For the sake of bookkeeping, specific challenges can and will be assumed to have been taken place before game.

Touch of Shadows on items of size 3 or less will be assumed to have worked with a natural draw of "5" is done before entering play. Any further uses during game will require the standard challenges.

Clash of Wills to pierce Obfuscate or other appropriate powers will be handled by as per the guidelines in MET: Requiem. Any draw will be active for one hour as per the option available in the Requiem book.

Vitae: Characters start with full Vitae, less one per Ghoul they have with them, less any appropriate amount for Bloodline weaknesses or other restrictions. Each night, each PC is presumed to be down one additional Vitae for awakening, one per Ghoul present, and any losses for Bloodline weaknesses or other restrictions. Players whose characters have restrictions on feeding are encouraged to pre-register so that their feeding arrangements can be worked out with the Storytellers beforehand for the convenience of both players and STs. The first feeding challenge of the weekend may be run with a Narrator using the standard draw rules; the hunt is presumed to require thirty minutes out of game. Second and subsequent feedings must be run as a scene under the supervision of either a Narrator or ST, and may have consequences.

Willpower: Characters start with full willpower, less any appropriate amount for Bloodline weaknesses or other restrictions. Each night, each PC is presumed to regain one willpower point as stated in the World of Darkness MET rules. If the character has a specific bloodline weakness or other restriction to this, this is subject to change per Lead On-Site Venue ST decision. Any regained willpower earned from portrayal of Virtue or Vice must be approved by an appropriate member of the ST or Narrator staff.

The Lead On-Site Requiem ST reserves the right to mediate any mass combats in the Requiem venue to insure flexibility and realism as deemed appropriate for the scene.

Character Restrictions:

All valid Requiem venue characters will be allowed for the Requiem games at SERE 2007. Characters with Custom approval items, must be sent to the Lead On-Site Requiem ST or pre-registered by no later than May 2nd, 2007. The Lead On-Site Requiem ST reserves the right to deny any Custom approval items or characters that are not cleared in this way.

Proxy Rules:

Though proxy play is permitted by the Camarilla rules supplements, proxy characters are not allowed for SERE 2007. This is due to the lack of staff to properly and effectively portray any proxies. If the player can obtain their own body to represent them, then they can apply for Lead Requiem ST approval to proxy.

Travel Risks:

Because of the preparations of the local kindred, there will be no travel risks to anyone using any standard method of travel (driving, flying, walking, or swimming). Essentially if you physically attend SERE 2007 and your travel doesn't involve anything with special approvals, no prior notification is required.

Experience:

The Lead Venue Storyteller will recommend to the Lead Storyteller any experience awards based on the quality of RP for the weekend and other criteria outlined in the Camarilla rules.
