Changeling: The Dreaming VENUE STYLE SHEET
ST Contacts:
Venue Lead: Christopher Hopkins (negisa@laughingpirates.com)
Venue Second: TBD
Place/Time: See SERE Schedule
This VSS is applicable to all sanctioned role-play in the Dreaming Genre, either ST-moderated or in soft role-play during SERE 2007, May 10-13.
Due the unique nature of this game which will incorporate both the Arcadia and Mundane settings, locations will vary. Most of the game will take place in an in-between realm of the Dreaming in which characters from both sides can interact in a limited fashion (talking but not touching, for example) with one another and with NPCs. OOC, the ST moderated game will take place on Saturday May 12th from 10 am to 2:00 pm in rooms,______________.
Please note, the Universal VSS is considered always in effect for all sanctioned events at SERE 2007 and should be reviewed in addition to this Style Sheet before participating in any events.
Theme:
Strange things have been happening in both Arcadia and the Mundane, and by now there’s a good chance that characters from both sides have deciphered that there is a connection between them. Can the Dreaming bear to let go of this one person? Can those that live in it and feed off of it survive the loss if it does?
Premise:
In Arcadia the colors have been slowly disappearing throughout the Southeast. The Seers and visionaries have traced the source to someplace between the worlds, hiding in the pockets that bridge Arcadia and the Mundane. But what purpose could stolen color serve? Does it have something to do with the Satyr painting on canvas that has invaded the dreams of so many?
On the Mundane, the Witch has been seen more and more. No matter how often it is killed, no matter how many times it is chased off, it seems to return to wreak havoc on Dreamers and Changelings alike. All signs point to the Dreaming itself as the source of the problem. That means there’s only one place left to look…
Venue Rules:
The Dreaming venue for SERE 2007 uses the Camarilla rules addendum, and all appropriately sanctioned materials mentioned therein. Any item not covered in these sources is considered to be an approval item requiring Top approval. All characters will be assumed to have full glamour and willpower for the start of the game. All PCs will be at full health levels upon entering play, unless otherwise pre-arranged. The Lead ST reserves the right to mediate any mass combats in the Dreaming venue to insure flexibility and realism as deemed appropriate for the scene. All players wishing to pre-cast cantrips and hang them with the Time realm MUST do so with either the Venue Lead, or another designated assistant.
Also, as a large portion of this game will take place in the Dreaming so some special effects may be announced during the game. Technology will be more predictably useful by Mundane players, though the nature of the setting implies that any sort of magical or technological action may, at ST discretion go horribly awry or work in such a way that is not anticipated by the user.
Character Restrictions:
All characters with proper approval numbers within the venue will be allowed. Due to the fact that the Dreaming venue is now in a separate continuity, no cross-venues are possible. Characters of all types within the Dreaming venue will be appropriate at the event.
Additional Restrictions: (these items must be pre-approved by May 2nd 2007)
Any item with custom (Top Approved) mechanics.
Any level 5 or higher Treasure
Any lores or specialties in the following: Deep Dreaming, Fomorian, Adhene
Chronos (Advanced) or Naming (Advanced)
Items:
Characters may carry up to their permanent Glamour in Dross on their persons. All Dross must be checked in as Item Cards at character check in and signed by the approving VST. Due to the current scarcity of Glamour, the Venue Lead has a right to question how the dross was obtained. Such information may be used in plots.
Proxy Rules:
Though proxy play is permitted by the Camarilla rules supplements, proxy characters are not allowed for SERE 2007. This is due to shortage of available STs to handle such a thing at a large event.
Travel Risks: None. Please play.
Experience: Will be announced following the event.

In addition to the ratings below, please remember that a game is always what you make of it. This is especially true of the Dreaming Genre.
