Just when we thought all avenues were closed, a shiny little deal comes through.
Your SERE 2007 staff is proud to announce that we're taking y'all out to the ball game.
That's right. If you're in town for SERE on Wednesday evening, and you're one of the first 50 members to RSVP to this message, you'll get a spot on our guest list for Skyline Seating as the Atlanta Braves take on the San Diego Padres in a televised/webcast game at Turner Stadium.
Game is scheduled to start at 7:35 ET, so we'll need to leave from the hotel lobby around 6:30 pm to catch the shuttle to the airport and then to the stadium. We'll pick up our tickets at the special Skyline gate, then it's up to our seats where we get the best view in the entire place - the full bowl of the stadium below us and the full breadth of the Atlanta cityscape just to our side with the sun setting behind it all.
If you're coming in a bit later than that, it's not a problem at all. Stop off at the hotel to get your room and ask for our "SERE and the Braves" flyer. It will tell you how to get to where we are at the stadium, and will have my cell number if you want to give a call to see what inning the game is in before making the trip out. Bring a dollar if your name is on the confirmed guest list (you'll get reimbursed); bring $6 if you forget to RSVP. Chances are your ticket will only cost $1, but it's better to have the extra cash on hand just in case all the Skyline seats get sold out before you get there.
Drinks and food are at normal stadium prices, so bring cash if you'll need stadium munchies!
Key to this is that you MUST RSVP and you must be a Camarilla member in good standing. If you're not on the guest list, we won't hold up the shuttle bus for you. We'll party at the stadium with you when you get there, but the RSVP is the key to your free ticket. Yes, a free ticket to a major league baseball game just for showing up to a Camarilla regional convention; and that, my friends, is a deal sweeter than sugar candy.
