CONVENTION RULES OF CONDUCT
- Badges - Must be displayed when in hotel public areas and SERE event spaces. There is no refund if your badge is revoked.
- Childcare - Questions should be directed to the
Cam-Communities Director. Staff has no knowledge, nor assumes
any responsibility for any child-care arrangements. SERE
2007 is not held responsible for any activities, authorization
or recommendation of services within this space.
- Costumes
- Members must remove their masks in public spaces or ask for a staff escort.
- Should meet the public decency laws.
- Food - All outside food should be consumed in your
private room or the hospitality suite.
- Footwear - Defined in this case as "with soles that
protect feet from shards of glass or other impediments on
the floor" must be on at all times in hotel public
areas and SERE event spaces.
- Legal Notice - Anyone found dealing drugs or engaged in
other illegal activities will be turned over to the police,
have their badge revoked and removed from the convention.
- Medical Aid - Licensed Volunteers can be contacted via
SERE event Security for limited service needs.
- Property Damage - Anyone found damaging any SERE property,
hotel property, or personal property will have their badge revoked
and be removed from the convention by Security.
- Quiet hours - From 2 am to 8 am. Be considerate of other
hotel guests and SERE Attendees.
- Room Parties -
Underage drinking is against the
law. Be responsible. Excessive noise will not be tolerated.
The SERE Security Staff will be empowered to close down parties
that are not conducted in a sensible manner. Refusal to
listen to Security can result in the members involved losing
their badges. Parties will be given one warning and then shut down.
Remember we do share the hotel with other paying customers.
Room parties are allowed, but must be registered with the AVST Escort
(SERE Security Staff) no later than 5:00 pm on the day the party is to occur.
Incidents at unregistered parties will be handled solely at the discretion
of the hotel staff and local authorities.
- Smoking - Limited to the areas designated by our host hotel.
- Swimming Pool Policy - Attendees are asked to adhere
to the posted hours and attire for pool use.
- Weapons - are not allowed in the gaming space. The Vendors
room, the time during the charity auction, are the only
times/spaces where such will be displayed for purchase.
Once a weapon is purchased, it must immediately be taken
out of the convention space and stored elsewhere.
- Non-SERE attendees and Hotel Guests -
If someone who is a guest of the hotel and not a member of
the SERE convention (if they are attending the convention they should be wearing a badge)
starts to create a problem, within the SERE convention space, please contact a SERE Staff
member or a SERE Security member immediately. Do not attempt to resolve the situation yourself.
Warning - Physical violence and any actions that violate
the Camarilla Code of Conduct or Camarilla club policies will
not be tolerated. Attendees will have their badge revoked and
be subject to immediate disciplinary and/or legal action, as
appropriate.
