PERSONAL CONDUCT POLICY |
CONVENTION RULES OF CONDUCT
Please read the policies listed below. Once this has been read, download the PDF version, sign, date, and bring with you to the event. Make sure to provide the requested information and signature in the appropriate area on the form signifying that you have read the different policies. You will not be given a convention badge until you have done such. If you receive a badge, you are required to sign the honor policy; without that, the badge is invalid and may be revoked.
PERSONAL CONDUCT POLICY:
- I have read and understand the Camarilla Code of Conduct as explained by the Membership Handbook. I understand that any breaches of the Code of Conduct, or any part of the Membership Handbook, may cause any and all of the following.
- Voluntary forfeiture of up to three (3) MC levels.
- Voluntary suspension of membership privileges for up to six (6) months.
- Voluntary forfeiture of right to hold any club office for up to six (6) months.
- I understand and will obey all local laws. If the local law enforcement becomes involved, I am aware that The Camarilla may levy additional action.
- I will be respectful of the hotel and obey all of the hotel policies. I understand that the hotel staff maintains its own security and is in communication with local law enforcement. I agree to obey their rules and follow their requests.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
- The legal age for purchase or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the State of Georgia is twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Underage Drinking will NOT be tolerated at this event. If you are underage and found to be in the possession of alcohol at any time during the convention, your badge will be revoked and you will lose two (2) MC levels. The person who provided the alcohol to the underage drinker will be asked to leave the convention, will lose two (2) MC levels and will accept a three (3) month suspension from all club activities.
- Remember to be safe and responsible. Excessive consumption will get your badge pulled and disciplinary action invoked. Event Leads have the right to request that you leave the gaming area if they feel you are too impaired to effectively interact with other player characters. Arguing with them will lead to disciplinary action and possible expulsion from the convention.
APPEALS:
- All Disciplinary Actions resulting from SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) Venue Audits, Policy, Tome and/or Code of Conduct Violations will be issued by the SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) Presiding Staff no later than May 30, 2007.
- Any Appeal of a SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) disciplinary action must be filed no later than 30 days after it was issued, or the appeal will be denied.
- Disciplinary Actions may be levied during SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event). In those circumstances, appeals will not be resolved at the event proper, except by the request of the SE Regional Coordinator, US National Coordinator, US National Conventions Administrator or the Club Director.
- The sole point of contact to appeal punishments stemming from SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) is the office of US National Conventions Administrator. Appeals should be submitted to camevents@white-wolf.com, with your local Coordinator (and Low Approval VST, if game related) copied on the e-mail message.
- Appeals to the US National Conventions Administrator from SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) will be resolved within one month of receipt, unless the member and the member's direct Storyteller and Coordinator are advised that the investigation will require more time and then are provided with a definite, revised date of conclusion.
RETURNED CHECKS:
- A check returned for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) will incur an additional $25.00 handling fee payable to White Wolf Publishing, Inc. All purchases from White Wolf Publishing, Inc. will then need to be made with a Money Order or Cash, until the shortage in funds is redressed.
- Anyone writing a NSF check will be suspended from all club activities until such time as the proper payment has been made.
GAMING HONOR POLICY:
- I have read and understand the Venue Style Sheets (VSS) for this event, including all OOC/IC restrictions.
- I understand that the Honor System is active. If I am caught cheating, the SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) Convention Coordinator and SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) Lead ST may enact any or all of the following:
- Voluntary forfeiture of up to three (3) MC levels..
- Voluntary suspension of membership privileges for up to six (6) months.
- Voluntary forfeiture of the right to portray any or all PCs (characters desanctioned)
- All MID, HIGH, TOP and MASTER approval items (pending or approved) must have a corresponding Database Approval Number listed on the character sheet records submitted at Event Registration or that approval item is UNAVAILABLE during the event. The item missing an approval number will be crossed off the player’s character sheet and the SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) archive character sheet and initialed by the Registration ST Lead for follow-up or future documentation.
VENUE STYLE SHEETS:
- The US Addendum will be in effect for all venues at SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event).
- I understand that in order to play in a venue I am required to first read the Event Venue Style Sheet (VSS).
- The Event VSS may supersede the current Camarilla Rules supplement as produced by the Camarilla and the US Addendum as produced by the US National Affiliate.
WEAPON PROPS:
- Members shall not carry weapons or realistic representations of weapons at Camarilla events. In the dark, toy guns look much the same as real ones. No props can be used if they must touch another person to be effective.
- Weapons Exception: As always, legal statute takes precedence over the Code of Conduct. Any member or potential member who may be required by law to carry a weapon even during non-traditional duty hours should contact their regional coordinator for information applicable to them.
LIABILITY WAIVER:
- All attendees assume entire responsibility for their own actions and hereby agrees to hold harmless White-Wolf Publishing, Inc., The Camarilla, the SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event) staff, the Holiday Inn Atlanta North and their agents against all claims, losses and damages to persons and property, governmental charges and fines, or other fees arising from, out of, or caused by participating in the convention, excluding any such liability caused by the sole negligence of The Camarilla, White Wolf Publishing, Inc., SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event), or the Holiday Inn Atlanta North.
- All attendees acknowledge that White Wolf Publishing, Inc, The Camarilla, SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event), or the Holiday Inn Atlanta North do not maintain insurance covering members' person, property or liability in regards to the convention space. It is the sole responsibility of the member to obtain any and all insurance necessary to cover injuries or losses by the attendee while present at SERE 2007 (Southeast Regional Event).
